Registration is now open for the 26th annual V Foundation Wine Celebration Aug. 1 to 4.
Hosted by Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski, former head coach of Duke University men’s basketball, it includes vintner experiences, musical performances, a gala dinner and live auction and a cancer research symposium.
Since 1999, the Wine Celebration has raised nearly $160 million benefiting the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Highlights include:
Thursday, Aug. 1 – Dinner with the Docs will be held at Beringer Vineyards’ Hudson House and Hall St. Helena. These dinners provide a opportunity to talk to leading physicians and research scientists from universities and cancer centers and members of the V Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
Friday, Aug. 2 – The “Rock the V” party at The Pavilion at Estate Yountville showcases the region’s best food and wine with a concert to get the crowd dancing and concludes with the silent disco in the Estate’s Barrel Room.
Saturday, Aug. 3 – The Kryzyewski Family Answer for Cancer Symposium at The Social at The Estate Yountville from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. features V Foundation grantees who will share cancer research about advancements in V-funded colorectal cancer research. It is free and open to the public.
Following the symposium, the Wellness Experience will span storytelling and research.
The highlight of the weekend, Saturday’s Gala Dinner & Auction, will be at Nickel & Nickel Estate Winery in Oakville, Napa Valley, hosted by Beth Nickel and Coach K.
